During 1971 to 1972 he received an AFS scholarship to study in the U.S. as an AFS International Exchange student. He then went back to Thailand and continued his study. He received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in 1976. He came back to the U.S. again for his graduate study. He earned his M.S. in Chemistry from Virginia State University in 1978 and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University in 1984.
Upon his graduation, Dr. Prasit has chosen his career choice in the U.S. He started working since then. He has 14 years of experience in R&D and Process Development in specialty Chemical Industry and Semiconductor Industry. He is currently working as a Principal Engineer of Integrated Semiconductor Business Unit at M/A-COM, an AMP Company, 43 South Avenue in Burlington , Massachusetts . He is married and has three children. They reside at 9 Jacob Amsden Road in Westborough , Massachusetts .
